Happy New Years!

2019 - The Year of Dreaming Big

Happy New Years Nightmares, Spacehikers and Fellow Authors alike!!! What a New Year I plan to make it! With just 365 days, I plan to make 2019 the year of all the books, all the swag and all the fun!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas, a relaxing boxing day and a peaceful December. I spent my Christmas and New Years in the UK with my family and I have to say that it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. From Oxford to London, I had the most magical time of my life as I got to go on several historical tours, Harry Potter walks and of course, I got to go shopping!

Now there is a lot to get through for the month of January so make sure you go through the entire newsletter because I am going to announce winners, new competitions and of course let you in on a few teasers of books that are coming up!!!!

Tatum is getting a 2019 Make Over followed shortly by a makeover of Kallista. Why? Because I'm being mentored by one of the most amazing authors and she has pointed out a few flaws in my books that need to be sorted out and one of these include redoing the covers. I know a lot of you LOVE the covers I have, and believe me so do I, but this simply means if you have the old cover you have a limited edition copy of my books. Look out for my announcements of the new covers and let me know what you think!

The first book I am releasing this year is of course Asylum I. I know a lot of people have been looking forward to this one and as a bonus there is going to be awesome artwork by the infamous Lisa Botes in the book. The book releases on the 15th February 2019 but is available for Pre-Order Now on the Amazon Kindle Store.

You can pre-order your copy here ->

“Asylum makes your hair stand on end. This is creepy and dark, yet incredibly fascinating. To delve into the mind of the ‘scientist’ at this asylum is to find sheer madness roiling in those depths, as well as utter self-delusion. The very stones of this madhouse is drenched with horror … a clever and twisted MUST read!” Elaina J. Davidson.

Thank you to everyone who entered the final competitions of 2018 hosted in the December Newsletter! To us you are all winners!

The following Lucky People however have won awesome prizes and should respond to this newsletter to claim them!

Maria Dalmau

Patti Richards

Elaine Sapp

Michael Eden

Please respond to this email and I will let you know what you have won!

The first official Movie Monday will be held on the 7th January and is going to be super exciting because this year I am going to be using Movie Monday to discuss the way forward with writing. From plotting the books to writing the books to having them edited to marketing the books.

I'm not expert but information like this should be shared so make sure you keep an eye on Spacehikers & Nightmares as well as the Horror Authors' Carnival so you don't miss Movie Monday with me! Live on Facebook!

Toni Cox, author of The Elemental Trilogy series has decided to rebrand and here is what they look like.

Elemental Rising:

Maia, Elf princess of Elveron, has studied for almost a century to become a Prime Elemental but, when she finally completes her final test, which she had to take on Earth, something unexpected happens, and she brings with her the very thing she tried to leave behind.

Now she is faced with responsibilities she thinks she is not ready for, a love she does not reciprocate, and a threat to her people that might kill them all. Young, inexperienced, and unsure of her powers, she only has her desire to save her people that drives her into battle. But she is not alone. She has her mentor, Silas, and her dragon, Midnight, who stand by her side as she embarks on an adventure to save not just herself, but the rest of the nation of Grildor as well.

Elemental Betrayal:

The nation of Grildor still reels from the War of Greystone. They spent the winter Moons mourning their dead. Now it is spring and time to drive the last of the enemy off their planet.

Maia has sunken into a pit of despair during the harsh Moons of Winter, not only mourning the people that died, but also the absence of Blaid. Would he ever come back to her?

Lord Longshadow, Lord Regent of Grildor, decides it is time to act and sends Maia and Jaik as ambassadors to the various cities within Grildor. The aim is to reassure the people that the Longshadow Clan is there to protect them, but as Maia and Jaik travel, they learn that the situation is far worse than they had anticipated.

They have been betrayed and their nation is threatened with war a second time. Desperately, she searches for the strength to save her people. And, although she has her dragon, Midnight to help her, the responsibility of being a Prime rests heavily on her shoulders.

Will her magic be strong enough to save them this time?

Forbidden Elemental:

Two battles are behind them and now the true war with the Vampyres is about to start. Elveron will succumb unless the Prime Elementals can become as one.

Maia deserts her people to find Blaid, for only as one will they have the power to defeat the Vampyres amassing at Greystone. It is Forbidden for them to be together and yet their connection is all that stands between victory and eternal defeat. With her dragon, Midnight, Maia sets off on a journey that will change the future for everyone.

Lord Longshadow, the Lord Regent, invokes the Rule of Kings and travels to every country of Greater Grildor. He needs the Lords to pledge their armies. Jaik Longshadow rules in his father’s stead and faces the greatest test of his life, while Aaron Nightingale, believing he is the reason Maia left, races across Grildor to find her.

The arrival of winter means the Vampyres will be less active. Amid snow and ice, it is time for Elveron to prepare. But the Vampyres have a different agenda and winter will no longer stop them. As desperation and fear takes hold, Maia understands that to save her people she needs a new plan.

Will Blaid help her? Will she have enough time?

“Cox has created characters; a world; a story that is Tolkien worthy. She has developed something unique and rich in imagination.” Sian B. Claven (Author of The Butcher books)

“Maia is an incredible character to follow. Toni Cox has managed to bring something new, exciting, and seriously addictive to the fore.” Robyn Victoria Castles (TBB)

“I fell in love with this world and its characters and became utterly invested in their trials and tribulations. Toni Cox has a wonderfully rich imagination and brings Elveron and the Elves, and Midnight the dragon, to glorious life. Utterly entrancing.” Elaina J. Davidson
